The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets downtown, and anyone can speak during public comment, in person or by video. Ask the commissioners to oppose the O'Hare Flyer and to press NITA to fund Regional Rail 1.0, Metra's plan for frequent service to O'Hare.
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle appoints five of NITA's 20 board members. Commissioner Maggie Trevor has already put her opposition to the Flyer in writing.
NITA's board meets the same morning at 9 a.m. at 175 W. Jackson Blvd., a short walk away. This meeting's start time comes from the County's 2026 schedule; check the agenda when it's posted.
How to register to speak or send a comment:
Find the registration form on this meeting's page on the County's calendar. The County posts it with the agenda. Registration closes 24 hours before the meeting starts.
Enter your name, city, state and ZIP code. You can leave the File ID blank.
Under "What do you want to do?", choose "Provide written comment for information only," unless you are commenting on a specific agenda item.
