THATCHER WOODS DESERVES MORE THAN A SALES PITCH.
JOIN US NOVEMBER 7 FOR OUR BIGGEST WALK & TALK YET!
On October 17, more than 65 residents, environmental experts, and public officials gathered at Thatcher Woods to learn about the potential impacts of the proposed $2.25 billion O'Hare Flyer rail project.
The response was overwhelming. Now, we're bringing even more experts, community leaders, and residents together.
Hear from the experts!
We're excited to welcome representatives from the Chicago Ornithological Society, Chicago Bird Alliance and the Bird Conservation Network, who will discuss the importance of Thatcher Woods for bird habitats, breeding populations, and the potential impacts of rail development.
Michael Chronopoulos, whose expertise includes comparative neurophysiology and psychology, will discuss how sound and vibration can affect wildlife.
Representatives from the Village of River Forest and candidates for local office will also join us.
MORE EXPERTS AND SPEAKERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!

Why does this matter?
The proposed O'Hare Flyer raises serious questions about environmental impacts, noise, vibration, wildlife habitats, construction, financing, and taxpayer exposure.
Before this project moves forward, our communities deserve answers backed by independent research and publicly available data.
This is a community-led effort to protect the natural spaces we share and ensure residents have a voice in decisions that could affect our neighborhoods for generations.
Bring your neighbors. Bring your questions. Bring your voice.
